The local walks and leafy lanes will lead you to historical places of interest, Milton Abbey, Milton Abbas, Athelhampton House, Cerne Abbas  & the Cerne Giant etc.

Dorset's Jurassic Coast is only 20 to 45 minutes away by car, with its outstanding beaches you can choose between fine sand at Shell Bay and Pebbles at Chesil Beach. There are many sea fishing opportunities around the Poole and Weymouth harbour areas. The towns of Wareham, Swanage, Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Salisbury are all within easy reach by car. Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World are 20 minutes drive and English Heritage site, Stonehenge is only 45 minutes away. There is a new clay mining museum at Corfe Castle
