Moonfleet FArM hOLIDAY
Moonfleet Farm is situated at the west end of the village of Higher Ansty, our farm offers long distance sunset views of the Blackmore Vale. Our working farm has various options for holidays (click on the tabs above to find out more). There are many beautiful scenic walks in the area and there is a network of public footpaths which lead to other hidden gems within the heart of the Dorset countryside, often leading to remote and quaint villages, churchyards (and invariably a real ale pub). Many of our local freehouse pubs provide excellent food and welcome pets and children.
The village of Higher Ansty is the home of the Hall and Woodhouse Brewery established in 1777, since moved to Blandford Forum. The local & busy Fox Inn, freehouse, remains and dispenses a range of real ales and well priced quality food. (click here to visit the site) The "Smugglers" public footpath takes you from the farm directly to the Fox Inn and a well stocked local village store. (300 metres). Quiet and well behaved family dogs are welcome at Moonfleet Farm provided they are tethered, (dogs can free roam free in the fields under supervision). Moonfleet Farm is a working sheep farm not a campsite complex. Fishing day can be purchased at the farm (Rudd, Roach, Chubb, Crucian Carp, Tench and Perch). The farm's Orchard Ponds cover about 4 acres. |
